Newark Museum is one of New Jersey's hidden gems. Our Society will visit on Sunday, Dec. 4th for a private guided tour of the 1885 Ballentine House, a National Historic Landmark, decorated to show how Christmas was celebrated in the Victorian era, blending English, German and Dutch holiday traditions. We'll also have time to see other exhibits on our own, including artworks from the US (Georgia O'Keefe, John Singer Sargent) and around the world as well as a Buddhist Altar consecrated by the Dalai Lama. The trip begins at 10:00am at the Strauss Mansion before departure by Carpool. Cost is $20.00
